Job Description

The MS D365 Development Lead will play a pivotal role in performing and own the following set of activities:

  • Technical Lead & Mentor: Act as the technical lead for D365 F&O projects, providing guidance to development teams and mentoring junior developers to ensure adherence to best practices.

  • Solution Design & Architecture: Collaborate with business stakeholders and solution architects to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and create architectural documentation.

  • Development & Customization: Design, develop, customize, and troubleshoot solutions in D365 F&O using X++, C#, and other relevant technologies. This includes building and maintaining reports (SSRS, Power BI), data entities, and APIs.

  • Implementation & Support: Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to go-live support, including managing environments via Microsoft Lifecycle Services (LCS).

  • Integration Management: Drive integrations between D365 F&O and other systems using tools like Dataverse, Logic Apps, and the Data Management Framework (DMF).

  • Quality Assurance & Governance: Conduct code and architectural reviews to ensure technical solutions, customizations, and extensions align with Microsoft standards and enterprise requirements.

  • DevOps & ALM: Set up and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps for robust Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).

  • Performance Optimization: Review and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability for D365 F&O implementations.

  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to ERP systems.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of ERP solutions.

  • Requires a high understanding of the regional specificities, needs and constraints in terms of solution & technology.
  • Implements the regional ERP solution as an incremental version of the implemented ERP solution while keeping aligned with the country specific requirements – regulatory/compliance for the domains not limited to Finance, food, FM business.
  • Requires the ability to adapt constantly and increasingly frequent legal and functional changes.

Responsibilities:

ERP D365:

  • D365 Finance and Operations (F&O) Development Lead is a senior technical role responsible for guiding the design, development, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP solutions.
  • Involve in technical leadership, hands-on development, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure scalable and high-quality solutions
  • Proficiency in X++, C#, and .NET.
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps and LCS.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Azure integration services.
  • Understanding of D365 F&O data structures, extension models, and performance best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality solutions and efficient project execution.
  • Supportive in solution architecture documentation, including technical specifications, diagrams, and integration points.
  • Manage integration of D365 with other systems, ensuring smooth data flow, performance, and scalability.
  • Develop customizations, configurations, and extensions in D365 to meet business requirements.
  • Conduct system performance reviews, identify improvements, and resolve technical challenges.
  • Provide expertise on D365 best practices and support project teams with complex troubleshooting and issue resolution.

  • Feeds global stakeholders with regional specificities, needs and constraints.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Conducts research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommends technologies/processes that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility.

COMMUNICATION

  • Acts as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them understand the current solutions architecture and gains endorsement for future solutions and spend.
  • Presents solutions from a functional/business point of view to internal and external customers.

Required Skills:

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
  • Minimum of 10 – 15 years of experience working in IT applications and 5 years as an D365 Technical Consultant / Solution Architect..
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate the complexities of technical programs along with knowledge of business / applications
  • Detail-oriented & customer oriented, ability to develop and entertain intimacy with business and operations stakeholders.

  • Experience working in an international environment and understanding of complex organizations.
