Role Summary
As a D365 Architect / SME, you will serve as the key technical and functional authority for Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions. You will define solution architecture, ensure alignment with enterprise standards, and provide guidance on best practices to development and implementation teams. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet strategic objectives, compliance standards, and performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end architecture across D365 applications (Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Engagement) and integrations.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for D365 functional areas and provide guidance on customizations, extensions, and configurations.
- Define solution blueprints, data models, and integration frameworks between D365 modules and external systems.
- Lead technical governance, conduct architecture reviews, and ensure adherence to enterprise standards.
- Guide development teams on best practices, performance optimization, and solution scalability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of solutions with business strategy, compliance, and regulatory standards.
- Provide strategic recommendations for migration projects, including legacy to D365 transformations.
- Oversee Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) in alignment with D365 architecture.
- Drive adoption of cloud services (Azure, Dataverse, Logic Apps, API Management) to enhance solution robustness and scalability.
Technical Expertise
Key Skills & Experience Required :
- 8- 15 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 implementations.
- Strong knowledge of D365 Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Engagement, or Power Platform.
- Proven experience in solution architecture, integration patterns, and data migration.
- Expertise in Azure services, API integration, and cloud-native solutions.
- Experience in architectural governance, design documentation, and technical review processes.
- Proficiency in customization, extension frameworks, and security models in D365.
Functional Expertise
- In-depth understanding of business processes in Finance, Supply Chain, CRM, or Sales/Service operations.
- Ability to map business requirements to D365 functionality and propose optimal solutions.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and client engagement skills.
- Experience in leading workshops, design sessions, and stakeholder presentations.
- Proven ability to mentor and guide development and functional teams.
Desirable
- Microsoft D365 Certifications (Architect, Functional, or Technical).
- Experience with Data Migration, ETL, and Middleware solutions (SSIS, KingswaySoft, Scribe).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
