Your Role And Responsibilities
As an IBM MREF (Tririga) Architect you are responsible for defining, designing, and governing the end-to-end architecture of MREF solutions across Real Estate, Facilities, Capital Projects, Lease Administration, and Space Management domains.
This role acts as the technical authority for MREF implementations, upgrades, integrations, and optimizations—ensuring scalability, performance, security, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
The architect works closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, integration teams, and delivery teams to translate business needs into robust, future-ready MREF solutions.
As an MREF Architect, you would be responsible for
Architecture & Solution Design
- Own end-to-end MREF solution architecture across modules like:
- Real Estate & Lease Administration
- Space Management
- Facilities & Maintenance
- Capital Projects
- Environmental / Sustainability (where applicable)
- Design scalable application, data, and integration architecture for MREF implementations.
- Define customization vs configuration strategy to ensure upgrade-safe solutions.
- Lead architecture decisions for:
- Migrations
- Assessment
- Health checks
- Workflow design
- Business objects (BOs)
- Forms, queries, reports, and KPIs
- UX framework and navigation
Integration & Technical Leadership
- Architect integrations between MREF and enterprise systems such as:
- ERP systems
- HR systems
- Financials & Procurement
- GIS, BMS, IoT platforms
- Document Management systems
- Guide data migration strategies from legacy IWMS / CAFM systems.
Governance & Best Practices
- Establish MREF architecture standards, patterns, and guidelines
- Review and approve technical designs and configurations created by delivery teams.
- Ensure adherence to:
- Performance and scalability best practices
- Security and access control models
- Upgrade and cloud-readiness standards
Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as technical SPOC for customers, market teams, program leadership, and product teams
- Translate business requirements into architecture and design artifacts.
- Provide technical leadership during:
- Project planning and estimation
- Sprint reviews
- UAT and go-live readiness
- Mentor MREF developers and functional consultants.
Cloud, Upgrade & Modernization
- Lead architecture for:
- Migrations
- Assessments, Health Checks
- MREF upgrades and platform modernization
- Support adoption of:
- Cloud-native integration patterns
- Automation and DevOps practices
- Ensure alignment with MREF product roadmap.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
Core MREF Expertise
- 12+ years of experience in IBM MREF implementations.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Business Objects, Forms, Workflows
- Queries, Reports, KPIs
- UX Framework
- Deep understanding of MREF data model and security framework.
Architecture & Integration
- Proven experience as a Solution / Technical Architect on large MREF/Tririga programs.
- Strong integration experience
- Experience with data migration, performance tuning, and system sizing.
