About this opportunity:
Lead and manage MPBN operational activities for the Circle, MPBN & Cloud Performance analysis, corrective & preventive maintenance, planning & scheduling network changes. Accountable for delivering high availability and service reliability across IP/MPLS Transport and Cloud hosted network functions, including RAN backhaul and interconnectivity between Service Critical nodes.
What you will do:
- Ensure 99.99% MPBN & Telco Cloud hosted network function availability and SLA compliance across the Circle.
- End-to-end closure of all MPBN performance degradations and critical incidents.
- Zero service impact during Planned Work through TT and Change Request (CR) implementation.
- Review & drive improvement of network KPI performance to support smooth SA/Uptime sign-off.
- Reduce repeat network failures through proactive preventive maintenance.
- Ensure MTTR reduction through proactive fault correlation across Transport and Cloud layers.
- Ensure customer CSI improvement through faster incident resolution and RCA closure.
- Troubleshoot cloud platform issues impacting MPBN VNFs/CNFs (OpenStack/VMware/Kubernetes).
- Coordinate with Cloud Ops teams for RCA and resolution of virtualization/platform alarms.
- Validate Cloud upgrades and lifecycle activities for MPBN hosted network functions.
- Monitor VNF/CNF health and interconnect latency impacting traffic routing.
- Support capacity planning for Compute, Storage, and Network resources in Telco Cloud.
- Manage Preventive Maintenance for MPBN and Cloud hosted transport VNFs.
- Coordinate with TSG, GNOC, GSDC (BO/FO/CM), Problem Management and D&P for issue resolution.
- Review and schedule all MPBN & Cloud Change Requests.
- Vendor performance management and spare inventory control.
- Resource utilization and operational expense governance.
- Engage stake holders for any new integration, services onboarding, Acceptance Testing and topology validation.
- Engage with OEM, BO, SRF for timely and error free completion of Redundancy and Service AT
- Spares Tracking and timely calling out if delay in spare availability and R&R.
- Engage, support for restoration of subscriber complaints and recovery of outages of MPBN & Cross Domain nodes.
- Interface with Bharti Circle/Regional/Hub PBN teams for escalations.
- Support Service Delivery Managers in meeting contractual KPIs.
- Participate in Major Incident Review (MIR) and RCA for Transport or Cloud induced outages.
- Collaborate with Transport NOC for media/backbone related activities & troubleshooting.
The skills you bring:
- B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics/Telecommunications or related field.
- 812 years of experience in MPBN Transport Operations & Planning, IP/MPLS Networks, and Telco Cloud Infrastructure supporting RAN backhaul and Packet Core interconnectivity.
- Highly Preferred: CCNA/CCNP and Cloud Certifications (OpenStack/VMware/K8s/Azure/AWS).
- IP/MPLS Routing Well known L2/L3 Protocols like OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, QoS, BFD, VRRP etc.
- Hands on with Routers/Switches/Firewalls Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Ericsson, IBM.
- Interworking methodologies with Packet Core 2G/4G/5G, CS Core, Analytical Tools, NFV, Cloud Networking, VNF/CNF lifecycle management.
- Successful track record and strong background in large-scale MPBN network operational organisations.
- Knowledge & hands on experience on Huawei/CISCO/Juniper/IBM/ Ericsson Router/Switch/Firewall/Cloud & PBN nodes configuration
