Role Description The Mould Costing Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role is responsible for estimating and analyzing mould costs for new and existing products, including tooling, material, machining, labor, and overheads. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing 2D/3D designs, interpreting technical specifications, preparing detailed cost breakdowns, and collaborating with design, production, and procurement teams to optimize cost without compromising quality or functionality. The Mould Costing Engineer will also support quotation preparation, track actual costs against estimates, and recommend cost-reduction opportunities. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining costing databases, contributing to supplier evaluations, and preparing reports and presentations for management.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of injection moulds, tooling concepts, and engineering plastics, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and 3D models.
• Experience in cost estimation and analysis for moulds, tooling, and manufacturing processes, including material, machining, and assembly costs.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and basic design review, along with familiarity with production planning and manufacturing workflows.
• Solid analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in preparing cost breakdowns and quotations.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with design, production, procurement, and suppliers.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in Costing, mould design, tooling, or plastic component manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
