Location: Pune (Baner)

Experience: 79 Years

Employment Type: Individual Contributor (IC Role)

Joining Time: Immediate to 90 Days

CTC Range: 1015 LPA (Negotiable based on interview performance)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Motor Electrical Design Engineer to work on the design, development, testing, and validation of electric motors for EV and special applications. The role involves electromagnetic and thermal analysis, prototype development, and continuous performance improvement of electric machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical design and electromagnetic analysis of motors using Ansys Motor-CAD, Maxwell (2D/3D), and SPEED
  • Design and development of PMSM, BLDC, SRM, Induction, and PMDC motors for EV applications
  • Thermal analysis of motors and implementation of various cooling techniques
  • Prototype development, concept design, and guidance for motor winding
  • Testing and validation of electric machines as per applicable standards
  • Benchmarking for performance, quality, cost, and weight optimization
  • Tracking global technology trends, regulations, and innovations in E-mobility
  • Solving complex electrical design challenges and improving machine efficiency

Must-Have Skill Set

  • Minimum 4+ years of design experience in the Electric Motor industry
  • Strong experience in electrical machine design and EV drivetrain systems
  • Hands-on expertise with FE tools:
    • Ansys Motor-CAD
    • Maxwell 2D/3D
    • SPEED software
  • Domain knowledge of PMSM, BLDC, SRM, and Induction motor design
  • Experience with 2W / 3W EV motor applications
  • Knowledge of:
    • Motor winding techniques
    • Magnetic materials
    • Motor assembly processes
  • Understanding of BLDC & PMSM control strategies
  • Familiarity with NEMA and IEC frames (1-phase & 3-phase motors)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Nice-to-Have Skill Set

  • Experience in thermal management and advanced motor cooling techniques
  • Exposure to benchmarking and cost-optimization projects
  • Passion for electric machines, E-mobility, and powertrain technologies
  • Flexibility to travel as per business requirements
  • Early joiners preferred
