What we're looking for
We are seeking a talented Applications Engineer to join our team focused on AC motor control products. In this role, you will serve as a technical liaison between our customers and engineering teams, ensuring successful integration of our control solutions while contributing to firmware development initiatives. Additional responsibilities may include test and troubleshooting support as needed.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document customer electrical and firmware requirements for AC motor control applications
- Provide technical support to customers during integration phases, including troubleshooting and debugging
- Develop and maintain firmware for motor control applications
- Create technical documentation for internal and external use
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product features and performance
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements in motor control
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in C programming language
- Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
- Understanding of motor control principles and algorithms
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Master's degree in relevant engineering discipline
- 2+ years of experience in motor control applications
- Familiarity with embedded systems development
- Experience with digital signal processors (DSPs) and microcontrollers
- Knowledge of power electronics and drive systems
- Experience with real-time operating systems
Work Environment
This position is based in our India office and may require occasional travel to customer sites and other company locations. The role offers a collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
