Motion Graphic Designer

As Sundew continue to grow, we are seeking a Motion Graphics Designer with strong visual design capabilities who can take an idea from a static frame to a polished motion experience.

The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable creating key visuals, style frames, layouts, and storyboards as they are animating them. This role requires a strong eye for design, typography, composition, storytelling, and contemporary motion aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, design, and animate motion graphics for brand films, digital campaigns, product stories, social content, and corporate communication.
• Create moodboards, storyboards, style frames, key visuals, and visual treatments from creative briefs.
• Design strong static compositions before translating them into motion.
• Create typography-led animation, 2D and 2.5D motion, transitions, compositing, and visual effects.
• Visualize technology concepts including SaaS products, UI journeys, AI, data, and digital experiences.
• Work with 3D elements and product visualizations where required.
• Edit and integrate footage, graphics, typography, UI, 3D, sound, and motion into cohesive visual narratives.
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, marketers, and creative leads from concept through final delivery.
• Adapt creative work across social, web, events, presentations, and other digital formats.
• Explore AI-assisted creative workflows while maintaining strong art direction and design quality.

Required Skills:

• 4–6+ years of professional experience in motion design, visual design, advertising, branding, or related creative roles.
• Strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating both visual design and motion design.
• Excellent understanding of typography, composition, color, hierarchy, and visual storytelling.
• Strong knowledge of animation principles including timing, pacing, easing, transitions, and visual rhythm.
• Ability to translate briefs and abstract concepts into compelling visual ideas.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work across different visual styles and brand systems.

Software Proficiency:

Essential:

Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Figma

Preferred:

Blender and/or Cinema 4D, DaVinci Resolve, Rive/Lottie, Redshift/Octane or similar 3D workflows

Familiarity with AI-assisted image and video generation tools and emerging creative workflows will be an added advantage.

Education & Portfolio:

Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Animation, Motion Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia, or a related discipline.

Portfolio quality, design thinking, visual taste, and motion craft will be given greater importance than academic qualifications.
