Job Description

Monitoring Tools & Observability Consultant | Datadog | Dynatrace | Splunk | LogicMonitor

We are looking for skilled monitoring and observability professionals with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in enterprise monitoring implementations and support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in at least one of the following tools: LogicMonitor, Datadog, Dynatrace, or Splunk, along with a strong understanding of application, infrastructure, and log monitoring in complex environments.

Senior Associate Consultant (3+ years of experience)

Consultant (5+ years of experience)

Locations: Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Delhi NCR

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, configure, and support enterprise monitoring solutions using LogicMonitor, Datadog, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
  • Design and maintain monitoring for applications, infrastructure, logs, and digital user experience across medium to complex environments.
  • Create dashboards, alerts, monitors, and reports aligned to business KPIs, SLIs, SLOs, and operational requirements.
  • Configure metrics, logs, traces, synthetic monitoring, and integrations with cloud, containers, and third-party platforms.
  • Analyze incidents, perform root cause investigation, and improve alert quality, coverage, and observability maturity.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, application, network, and support teams to identify monitoring needs and implement effective solutions.
  • Automate monitoring agent deployment, configuration, and onboarding activities using scripting or automation tools.
  • Maintain documentation for monitoring configurations, standards, playbooks, and implementation procedures.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members and support knowledge sharing across project teams.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience in at least one monitoring platform: LogicMonitor, Datadog, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring concepts including infrastructure monitoring, application performance monitoring, log management, tracing, and observability.
  • Experience in configuring agents, collectors, parsers, dashboards, alerts, and monitoring policies.
  • Ability to create or modify configurations for data collection, log ingestion, indexing, parsing, and analysis.
  • Exposure to synthetic monitoring, real user monitoring, API monitoring, and digital experience monitoring.
  • Knowledge of Open Telemetry or similar telemetry standards for extracting metrics, traces, and logs.
  • Experience integrating monitoring tools with ITSM or third-party tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or automation platforms.
  • Good understanding of cloud platforms, containers, and distributed application architectures.
  • Exposure to scripting or automation tools such as Python, Shell, Ansible, or Jenkins.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Tool-Specific Expertise (Any One or More)

Datadog: Experience with agent configuration, custom checks, log pipelines, APM, traces, synthetic monitoring, dashboards, monitors, tagging strategy, integrations, and user administration.

Dynatrace: Experience in implementing Dynatrace for application and infrastructure monitoring, creating integrated solutions with third-party tools, maintaining monitoring configurations, and supporting medium to complex environments.

Splunk: Experience in log onboarding, parsing, indexing, search creation, dashboarding, alerting, and operational analytics for enterprise monitoring use cases.

LogicMonitor: Experience in configuring monitoring for hybrid/cloud environments, building dashboards and alerting logic, integrating with IT operations workflows, and improving observability coverage.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with ITIL-based monitoring and incident management practices.
  • Experience working in enterprise production support, SRE, NOC, or observability teams.
  • Understanding of automation-first approaches for monitoring onboarding and configuration management.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive implementation discussions independently.
  • Relevant certifications in monitoring or observability platforms will be an added advantage.
