Job Description

  • Design and implement observability strategies across infrastructure and application layers.
  • Continuously monitor system performance and proactively identify bottlenecks or degradation.
  • Diagnose performance issues and implement corrective actions beyond basic alerting.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain dashboards, alerts, and monitoring workflows.
  • Perform detailed root cause analysis and drive permanent fixes.
  • Support incident response activities and improve system reliability through performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement end-to-end observability frameworks.
  • Enhance proactive monitoring to detect issues before customer impact.
  • Optimize alerting mechanisms to reduce noise and improve signal quality.
  • Analyze metrics, logs, and traces to identify root causes.
  • Implement performance improvements across infrastructure and applications.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of monitoring and observability principles.
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools such as New Relic, SolarWinds, and Dynatrace.
  • Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and implement fixes.
  • Experience with incident handling and performance optimization techniques.
  • Ability to configure dashboards and alerts for proactive monitoring.

Interview Expectations:

  • Explain a real-world performance issue and the approach used to diagnose and resolve it.
  • Demonstrate dashboard and alert configuration for proactive observability.
