Role Overview
Role Summary
The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Expert will lead the design and implementation of data-driven monitoring and evaluation systems to support program effectiveness and decision-making.
This role focuses on enabling real-time data capture, analysis, and reporting across the program lifecycle. The position will play a key role in strengthening data systems, improving tracking and accountability, and enabling actionable insights for continuous program improvement.
The M&E Expert will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality implementation, effective data use, and timely delivery of outputs.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the integration of assessment and monitoring data into centralized data systems, ensuring data consistency and sustainability.
- Provide technical inputs for the design and implementation of digitally enabled monitoring and evaluation systems covering the full cycle—from planning to reporting.
- Develop and support real-time dashboards for different user groups to track key inputs, activities, and outputs.
- Recommend and support mechanisms for structured data collection, including location-based tracking where relevant.
- Establish and maintain data management, processing, and reporting protocols aligned with best practices in data privacy, security, and quality.
- Contribute to capacity-building efforts by supporting development of training modules on data use, dashboard interpretation, and evidence-based decision-making.
- Collaborate with training teams to support delivery of modules related to monitoring, data use, and reporting.
- Translate data insights into clear recommendations to support program improvement and strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project outputs.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of Monitoring & Evaluation frameworks, indicators, and evaluation cycles.
- Experience with digital data systems, dashboards, and data management platforms.
- Good understanding of data governance, privacy, and information security practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
EducationPostgraduate degree in Management, Economics, Statistics, Education, or a related field.Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within large-scale programs.
- Experience working with data systems, dashboards, and program tracking tools.
- Exposure to education or social sector programs is preferred.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders or in complex program environments is desirable.
