Monitoring And Evaluation Specialist

M&E Lead. Bangalore. Going to School.

We're in search of an M&E Lead to design and manage the monitoring, evaluation, and learning function across its digital and life skills programmes in Bangalore and Raichur, North Karnataka. 

The role. 

Design and own the MEL framework. Manage data collection across languages, Kannada, Hindi (be a part of what we're ding in Bihar, Jharkhand, Mumbai) English. Produce gender-disaggregated findings on learning outcomes, retention, aspiration, and school-to-work transition. Translate field evidence into programme decisions and funder reporting.

Methods are mixed. Quantitative data on attendance, retention, and skill acquisition alongside qualitative fieldwork. FGDs, case studies, field observations. 

This is a field role. Government school classrooms in Bangalore are where data is generated, Raichur, with further travel to other states if that excites you.

Requirements.

Kannada and English fluency, written and spoken. Demonstrated experience designing MEL systems for education, life skills, entrepreneurship, climate change, tech / digital skills, STEM. Strong working knowledge of gender and inclusion frameworks, green skills and climate change indicators, and school-to-work transition outcomes. Experience managing external partners and holding the quality of their outputs. Ability to produce findings that are usable by programme teams, leadership, and CSR funders and sharing what you're discovering, the skills girls learn through play, boys as allies, when you find them.

Scope.

Learning outcomes disaggregated by gender across digital literacy, green skills, entrepreneurial skills, and climate enterprise action. Retention and completion data across school cohorts. Qualitative evidence alongside quantitative findings. A MEL framework rolling out across Karnataka, three different programs.
