Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MongoDB Database Engineer to support enterprise technology projects and manage critical MongoDB database environments. The role involves designing, administering, optimizing, upgrading, and supporting large-scale MongoDB deployments while ensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational stability.

The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in MongoDB architecture, Replica Sets, Sharding, database migrations, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and production support. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple concurrent projects, and supporting business-critical applications.

Occasional out-of-hours and weekend support may be required to support production deployments, upgrades, and critical incidents.

Key Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and support enterprise MongoDB database, PostgreSQL and Cassandra database environments.
Design, implement, and manage MongoDB Replica Set and Sharded Cluster architectures.
Perform MongoDB installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and capacity planning activities.
Manage MongoDB Ops Manager for monitoring, automation, backup, and operational efficiency.
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
Troubleshoot database performance issues and execute performance tuning initiatives.
Plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, and platform modernization projects.
Monitor database health, availability, security, and performance metrics.
Develop and maintain database operational procedures, standards, and documentation.
Support application development and project teams with database design and optimization recommendations.
Work closely with infrastructure, application, DevOps, and security teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Participate in production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
Contribute to database automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support multiple technology projects simultaneously while maintaining operational excellence.
