Data Migration Engineer (Oracle to MongoDB | AWS)

We are looking for a skilled Data Migration Engineer to join a large-scale cloud modernization program focused on migrating critical enterprise data platforms from Oracle on-premise environments to MongoDB in the cloud.

This role combines hands-on ETL development, cloud-based data migration, and modern data modeling practices. You will be responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end migration pipelines, transforming complex relational data into scalable MongoDB document structures, and helping shape the future-state architecture of a modern, API-driven ecosystem.

Working alongside AWS, MongoDB, integration, and architecture teams, you will play a key role in ensuring data is migrated accurately, efficiently, and at scale.

What You'll Be Doing

Design and implement end-to-end ETL and data migration solutions for large-scale Oracle to MongoDB cloud migration initiatives.

Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and migration pipelines using AWS-native services.

Develop ETL processes using AWS Glue, AWS DMS, Python, and PySpark.

Define migration strategies for moving data from relational Oracle databases to MongoDB document-based architectures.

Focus areas

Designing document-based schemas aligned with business and integration requirements.

Reducing data access complexity through effective document modeling and embedding strategies.

Supporting future schema evolution without impacting application performance.

Defining indexing strategies for optimal query performance.

Designing aggregation patterns to support reporting and operational workloads.

Experience with TM Forum Open APIs and SID (Shared Information/Data Model) standards is highly desirable.

Strong hands-on experience with: AWS Glue, AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), Python, PySpark.

Experience within Telecom, OSS/BSS, or digital transformation programs.

Understanding of API integration patterns and downstream data consumption models.
