Molecular Biology Intern – R&D

Positions: Two separate internship roles—day shift and night shift.

About the Role

Sciverse Research is seeking Molecular Biology Interns to support molecular diagnostics research and development. The internship provides hands-on R&D experience in assay development, optimization, testing, and troubleshooting under the guidance of the research team.

Responsibilities

* Perform sample preparation, DNA/RNA extraction, and PCR/RT-PCR workflows under supervision.

* Assist with reagent preparation, reaction setup, and molecular assay optimization.

* Review amplification curves, Ct values, and experimental controls with the team.

* Maintain accurate experimental records and support SOP preparation.

* Follow laboratory safety, contamination-control, and good laboratory practices.

* Support routine equipment maintenance, reagent inventory, and laboratory organization.

Eligibility and Required Skills

* Pursuing or recently completed a B.Sc., M.Sc., B.Tech., or M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field.

* Practical familiarity with PCR/RT-PCR, nucleic acid extraction, and micropipetting.

* Understanding of molecular biology fundamentals and laboratory contamination prevention.

* Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and willingness to learn.

* Ability to commit to an on-site internship for 6 months or 1 year in the selected shift.

Academic laboratory and research-project experience will be considered.
