Role: Module Lead - Module Quality

About The Team And The Role
The Quality team at Ather is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product excellence through rigorous gate reviews, systemic problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration. This team oversees the quality lifecycle from new product development to sustenance, ensuring every component and vehicle meets defined specifications and reliability benchmarks.
This role is for a Module Lead who will act as the primary quality representative within the development swimlane. You will be responsible for managing quality risks, driving structured bug resolution, and ensuring strict adherence to quality systems and processes to deliver a superior ownership experience.
Responsibilities
- Execute the Gate review process to identify and mitigate quality risks at both vehicle and component specification levels.
- Perform systemic Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to improve process robustness and prevent recurring issues in new products.
- Sign off on DVP stages, verify test results with PV labs, and ensure part quality during development builds.
- Lead Bug governance and drive structured resolution of risks and issues using 8D methodology during development and sustenance.
- Manage adherence to quality systems including FMEAs, Lessons Learnt, PPAP, PSW, and Drawing release processes.
- Monitor and improve Quality KPIs such as IPH, CPV, SPR, and PPM through prioritized resolution strategies.
- Execute A-COP plans and provide comprehensive impact analysis for Change Requests (CRs) and deviations.
- Collaborate with Design, Sourcing, and Manufacturing teams to achieve swimlane objectives and escalate critical quality concerns.
Experience And Qualifications
- BE / ME / B-Tech / M-Tech in electrical / mech engineering or equivalent from institutes of repute
- 6 - 8 years of experience in NPD Quality domain and Quality Engineering in 2W / 4W OEMs
Must Have Competencies
- Expertise in New Product Development Process (APQP) & Quality Management systems in NPD process
- Advanced proficiency in 8D Methodology to drive systematic problem-solving and permanent corrective actions.
- Technical competency in Automotive Electrical & Electronic domain
- Utilization of JIRA for robust bug tracking, governance, and disciplined project management.
Good to have Competencies
- Application of Green Belt Problem Solving techniques to facilitate data-driven improvements.
- Familiarity with the Core Tools of Quality to support standard quality control and assurance tasks.
- Advanced application of Quality Engineering principles to ensure product reliability and attribute achievement.
