Role Description The Modern QA Lead – AI & Automation – Python, RAG, Playwright is a full-time remote role responsible for owning the quality strategy and execution for complex web and AI-driven applications. This role involves designing and maintaining automated test frameworks using Python and Playwright, and applying Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and other AI techniques to improve test coverage and efficiency. The QA Lead will define and implement quality standards, create test plans and test cases, and coordinate end-to-end functional, integration, performance, and regression testing. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing requirements and designs, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams, analyzing defects and root causes, and driving continuous improvement in testing processes and tooling. The role also includes mentoring QA engineers, ensuring clear documentation and reporting, and contributing to release readiness and deployment quality in an agile environment.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, including test planning, execution, and defect management.
• Candidates should possess skills in Quality Management and Quality Auditing to define standards, perform reviews, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or similar regulated-quality frameworks and be able to apply structured compliance principles to software development and testing.
• Strong experience with automated testing using Python and Playwright, including building and maintaining test frameworks for web and API layers.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts, preferably including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and applying AI to test data generation, intelligent test selection, or quality insights.
• Background in testing modern full stack applications (e.g., MEAN/MERN/MEVN, microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs) and working within CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in test design techniques, performance and reliability testing, and familiarity with tools for test management and defect tracking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
