Undertake activities related to the design and development of functional simulation models as part of a project team
Interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics as well as functional specifications
Be a technical expert in train modeling, ensure timely delivery of individual assignments, effective utilization of time on individual assignment and team management, be a mentor, coach, & a friend to other team member, provide improvement ideas and opportunities
Set clear self (in consultation with supervisor) goals and KPIs
Monitor self-performance on productivity, quality, compliance to process & standards is important
Support a healthy and motivating work environment and atmosphere, work with the team effectively
Listen to team members feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts
Implements business initiatives including prompt corrective action plans for areas with below threshold performance

Adhere to all policies procedures and work instructions within the discipline of Sydac Quality expectations
Working in close collaboration with the Team in Adelaide and with modeling lead, participate in regular discussions, ensure constant & consistent collaboration, and provide constant updates of the ground situation in Pune
Requirements
4+ years of relevant experience
Preferred - MTech Electronics Engineering, focus on Control systems, Mechatronics
Required - BTech Electronics Engineering, focus on Control systems, Mechatronics
Must be from IIT or a reputed university
Hands on experience of modelling electro-mechanical systems using MATLAB Simulink
Hand on experience in model development in C++ is an advantage
Experience in using dataflow languages such as MATLAB/Simulink
Understanding of key concepts in control theory; discrete systems, feedback, stability, state space
Understanding of the principles of Newtonian physics
A working understanding of train system functions and operation, including braking, traction, coupling, computer based control, access/egress systems
Experience analyzing requirements and developing designs that meet requirements
Knowledge of software design principles, including the use of UML
Ability to understand technical manuals and drawings
