Summary: The main function of a modeling and detailing of wiring harnesses is to apply engineering principles to Wiring harness to design models of wiring harnesses in the engineering projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with wiring design engineers to build and tweak models of their designs for production.
Allocate wire splices at optimized distance following standards.
Work with schematic engineer for schematic updates.
Repack bundles and look for interferences in the 3D model.
Flatten the harness based on machine fitment and orientation.
Create 2D drawing of Wiring Harness based on standards.
Perform all team center related, engineering notice etc activities prior to drawing release
Skills:
Good experience in CREO Cabling toolGood experience inWiring harness standards OR Other Harness Detailing standards.
Knowledge of Wiring harness manufacturing process
Good Knowledge on interpreting machine orientation /views
Good Knowledge on harness components and their accessories.
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Electronics required.
