About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Mobility Products Manager to lead our mobility

and assistive devices category. The ideal candidate should have strong domain experience in

products such as wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, grab bars, commode chairs, bathroom safety aids,

walking sticks, patient transfer aids, and other mobility support products.

This role requires a person who deeply understands the needs of elderly users, people with limited

mobility, caregivers, physiotherapists, hospitals, and rehabilitation centres. The candidate will be

responsible for managing the category end-to-end, including market research, team management,

product development inputs, quality feedback and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Design & Development

• Lead the design and development of mobility aids (wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, grab

bars, commode chairs, bathroom safety aids, walking sticks, etc.)

• Focus on ergonomics, safety, and usability in product design

• Define technical specifications, materials, and product standards

2. Prototyping & Testing

• Drive prototype development and iterative testing cycles

• Ensure products meet durability, safety, and compliance standards

• Incorporate user feedback and field-testing insights into design improvements

3. Production & Manufacturing

• Oversee transition from prototype to large-scale production

• Manage vendors, manufacturers, and supply chain partners

• Ensure cost efficiency, quality control, and timely delivery

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Build and manage relationships with suppliers and production partners

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, operations, quality)

• Ensure smooth coordination across design, sourcing, and production stages

Required Skills:

Strong practical knowledge of mobility and assistive devices (wheelchairs, walkers, rollators,

grab bars, commode chairs, bathroom safety aids, walking sticks, patient transfer aids, and

other mobility support products).

Good understanding of user safety, ergonomics, stability, comfort, materials, and durability.

Strong team management and cross-functional coordination skills.

Comfortable with field visits, product demos, market research, and hands-on product evaluation.
