We are looking for a Hybrid Mobile QA Engineer with a strong focus on Manual Mobile Testing, supported by basic automation and API testing exposure. This role is ideal for candidates who excel in hands-on mobile testing and release ownership and are open to gradually adopting automation.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end quality assurance for Android and iOS mobile applications.
- Perform manual testing: functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and UAT.
- Validate Play Store and App Store releases, including build sanity and compliance checks.
- Execute app lifecycle testing (install, upgrade, background/foreground, interruptions).
- Test apps across multiple devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
- Validate behaviour under varying network conditions (WiFi, 4G/5G, poor connectivity).
- Perform API testing to validate mobile-backend integrations.
- Track crashes, ANRs, and stability issues using monitoring tools.
- Log, track, and verify defects using Jira or similar tools.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams.
- Maintain test cases, test reports, and release sign-off documentation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of QA experience with a strong focus on Mobile Application Testing.
- Hands-on experience testing Android and/or iOS applications.
- Strong manual testing skills on real devices and emulators.
- Experience with STLC, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.
- Basic understanding of APIs and backend integrations.
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
Good To Have
- Mobile automation exposure using Appium / Espresso / XCUITest.
- Basic scripting or automation exposure (Java / Python / JavaScript).
- Experience with Firebase, Crashlytics, Charles, and Proxyman.
- Exposure to BrowserStack or real-device cloud testing.
- Basic CI/CD awareness.
- Experience in fintech, crypto, or high-scale consumer apps.
