Role Summary
At Malkano Tech, we're looking for a skilled Mobile Developer to help build and scale modern mobile applications for iOS and Android. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performance, and user-friendly mobile experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building polished production applications, solving real-world problems, and working in a fast-moving collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
- Develop user-facing features including onboarding flows, dashboards, trackers, notifications, and dynamic content views.
- Integrate REST APIs and manage authentication, caching, offline support, and error handling.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create responsive and accessible interfaces.
- Implement analytics and event tracking to improve product engagement and insights.
- Optimize app performance, stability, and release reliability.
- Support integrations with third-party services, push notifications, wearable devices, and native mobile capabilities.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and improve testing coverage and deployment workflows.
RequirementsRequired Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience building production-grade mobile applications.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with React Native.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern React development patterns.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and handling authentication flows securely.
- Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, performance optimization, and debugging.
- Experience with app deployment processes including TestFlight and Google Play Console.
- Familiarity with state management solutions such as Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or React Query.
- Knowledge of Git workflows, code reviews, and agile development practices.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup or product-driven environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on healthcare, fintech, or privacy-sensitive applications.
- Familiarity with push notifications (FCM/APNs), deep linking, and notification routing.
- Experience with Apple HealthKit, Google Fit, or wearable integrations.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive mobile UI practices.
- Exposure to Expo, EAS, CodePush, Sentry, or similar React Native tooling.
- Basic understanding of mobile security best practices, encryption, and PII handling.
- Experience with animations and polished mobile interactions.
