About the Opportunity

We are looking for experienced Senior Mobile Software Engineers to contribute to an AI-focused software engineering project. In this role, you will use your real-world mobile development expertise to design and solve challenging software engineering problems that help evaluate and improve next-generation AI systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Android, iOS, or cross-platform mobile development, along with the ability to debug complex applications, design robust solutions, and work with modern mobile architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Create realistic and challenging mobile software engineering tasks based on real-world development scenarios.
• Design problems involving:
• Complex bug identification and resolution
• Feature development
• Application state management
• Mobile application lifecycle
• Refactoring and code quality improvements
• Performance optimization
• Asynchronous programming and concurrency
• Develop reproducible environments for mobile coding tasks.
• Create deterministic verification methods to evaluate whether a solution correctly addresses the assigned problem.
• Develop reference or golden solutions demonstrating an appropriate implementation.
• Ensure tasks are challenging, technically accurate, reproducible, and representative of real-world mobile engineering.
• Work independently while maintaining high technical and documentation standards.
• Apply strong debugging and analytical skills to evaluate multiple possible implementations.

Required Qualifications

• Significant professional experience in mobile software development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in at least one of the following:
• Android: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android View System
• iOS: Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit
• Cross-Platform: React Native with TypeScript/JavaScript or Flutter with Dart
• Strong understanding of:
• Mobile application architecture
• State management
• Asynchronous programming
• Application lifecycle
• Debugging and troubleshooting
• Performance optimization
• Ability to understand complex codebases and identify subtle technical issues.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to independently create technically challenging and well-defined coding tasks.
• Strong written communication and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large or complex mobile applications.
• Experience with performance profiling and optimization.
• Experience debugging difficult production-level issues.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices and design patterns.
• Experience working with open-source or publicly available mobile repositories.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, or developer tooling.
• Experience evaluating or reviewing code written by other developers.

Compensation

Availability & Start Timeline

We are looking for experienced professionals who are able to start immediately.

Selected candidates should be prepared to begin their initial assignments shortly after onboarding. Minimum weekly submission requirements may apply.
