Job title: ML Intern - Geoscience
Requirements
What You'll Do:
Work directly on a live client project developing computer vision models for UXO detection using magnetometry data
Assist with large-scale data preprocessing and feature engineering (petabyte-scale geoscience datasets)
Develop and train ML models for object classification and detection
Evaluate model performance and improve classification accuracy
Collaborate with geoscientists to validate model outputs and refine detection results
Support ML pipeline development, deployment, and monitoring
Participate in architectural reviews with the Technical Architect to ensure production-grade system design
Document experiments, methodologies, and results clearly and systematically
Requirements:
MTech / MSc in Computer Vision, AI/ML, or related field (current student or recent graduate)
Strong Python skills (PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV)
Academic project experience with CNNs, image classification, or object detection
Interest in geoscience related applications
Bonus: Familiarity with satellite data formats
