ML Engineer - FDE Intern

Role Description As an ML Engineer - FDE intern at Pandita AI Inc, you will work on designing, implementing, and testing machine learning models and pipelines for production environments. Day-to-day responsibilities may include data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training and evaluation, and integrating models with existing systems under the guidance of senior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional team members to debug issues, optimize performance, and document technical approaches and results. This is an internship role that is on-site and based in Mysore, providing hands-on exposure to real-world ML engineering challenges and full development lifecycle experience.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and basic statistics.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in ML (such as Python), including experience with coding, debugging, and version control.
• Familiarity with common ML and data libraries or frameworks (for example, NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).
• Ability to work with datasets, including cleaning, transforming, and preparing data for training and testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex tasks into manageable steps.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and product team members.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Interest in deploying ML models in real-world environments and learning best practices in software engineering, performance optimization, and testing.
