We are looking for a highly skilled Mining Engineer (MSc) to join our expert network on a freelance basis. This role is ideal for professionals with strong domain expertise in mining engineering, mineral extraction processes, mine planning, and technical analysis who are excited to contribute to cutting-edge AI and data-driven projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and validate mining engineering-related technical content and datasets.
- Provide domain expertise in areas such as mine planning, drilling & blasting, mineral processing, geotechnics, ventilation, and mining operations.
- Support AI training and evaluation projects by ensuring technical accuracy and industry relevance.
- Interpret mining-related reports, diagrams, operational workflows, and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI researchers, data specialists, and project managers.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables within project timelines.
Required Qualifications
- MSc in Mining Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Strong understanding of surface and underground mining operations.
- Knowledge of mine design, mineral extraction techniques, safety standards, and mining regulations.
- Ability to interpret technical data, engineering reports, and operational documentation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prior industry, research, or consulting experience in mining engineering is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with mining software/tools such as Surpac, Datamine, Vulcan, MineSched, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to data analysis, technical documentation review, or AI/data annotation projects is a plus.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
