Job Summary
We are hiring experienced MIG Welders for a reputed company in the UAE. Candidates should have strong experience in structural steel welding and fabrication works. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in quality MIG welding, interpretation of fabrication drawings, and execution of welding activities as per industrial standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on structural steel components and fabricated assemblies.
- Read and understand fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
- Prepare materials for welding including cutting, grinding, beveling, and fit-up activities.
- Ensure proper alignment and welding quality as per project requirements.
- Carry out welding on beams, columns, frames, supports, platforms, and structural assemblies.
- Inspect welded joints for defects and ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Operate welding machines, grinders, gas cutting equipment, and fabrication tools safely.
- Coordinate with fabricators, supervisors, and QA/QC personnel during fabrication activities.
- Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain clean working conditions.
- Repair and rework defective welds when required.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in MIG welding for structural steel fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret welding drawings and fabrication layouts.
- Knowledge of welding techniques, welding parameters, and joint preparation.
- Familiarity with fabrication tools, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment.
- Good understanding of welding safety standards and PPE usage.
- Ability to perform welding with minimum supervision.
- Teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of grinding, cutting, and fit-up activities preferred.
Eligibility Criteria
- ITI / Diploma in Welding, Mechanical, or related trade.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural fabrication and MIG welding.
- Gulf experience preferred.
- Physically fit and capable of working in workshop/fabrication environments.
