Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Middleware Administrator to join our Infrastructure Management team. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with middleware technologies, particularly WebSphere Application Server, and will be responsible for the installation, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting of middleware products in a large and complex enterprise environment. The role requires a proactive approach to problem resolution and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and optimize middleware products, ensuring high availability and performance
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues, driving resolution in collaboration with peer technology teams
- Implement and maintain security standards, including TLS, ciphers, and certificates
- Integrate middleware solutions with upstream and downstream services using JMS, J2C, JDBC, JCA, and Web Services
- Utilize industry-recognized monitoring tools (e.g., APM - App Dynamics, Grafana, Dynatrace) to ensure system health and performance
- Develop and maintain scripts using PERL, Shell, and PowerShell to automate processes and improve efficiency
- Participate in incident, change, and problem management processes, adhering to ITIL best practices
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to middleware administration
Mandatory Skills
- In-depth knowledge of WebSphere Application Server, Apache, Tomcat, and IIS
- Strong Technical Troubleshooting and configuration skills in middleware technologies
- Proficient in debugging techniques and analytical problem-solving
- Experience deploying application and web servers in large and complex enterprise environments
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Ability to work onsite and adhere to the local office working model
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to CICD - Continuous Integration & Continuous Development tools and Test Automation - WinRunner, QTP, Silk Test, Test Complete, Automation Frameworks
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to quickly integrate prior middleware product skills to meet organizational standards
Qualifications
- Middleware Administration Certification (WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat, etc.) Preferred
- ITIL4 Foundation Certification Good to have
- Linux or Windows Administration Certification Good to have
