Role Description This full-time, on-site Middle School Geography Teacher role (Grades 6–9) is based at TGES in Rajkot. The teacher will design and deliver engaging geography lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and educational philosophy. Daily responsibilities include planning units and lessons, preparing instructional materials, teaching classes, assessing student learning, and providing constructive feedback. The role involves fostering critical thinking about physical and human geography, encouraging inquiry-based learning, and integrating technology and real-world examples into lessons. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, participate in staff meetings and professional development, communicate regularly with parents and guardians, and help create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in Teaching middle school learners, with a strong understanding of Middle School pedagogy and adolescent development.
  • Ability to design effective Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development specifically for Geography (Grades 6–9).
  • Strong Communication skills for clear instruction, constructive feedback, and productive collaboration with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Geography, Education, or a related field; formal teacher training or certification is preferred.
  • Experience using classroom technology and active-learning strategies to promote engagement and conceptual understanding.
  • Capacity to create inclusive, student-centered classrooms that support diverse learning needs and encourage curiosity about global issues.
  • Willingness to participate in school initiatives, events, and ongoing professional development within a collaborative team culture.
