Job Description
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented 3D Animator & Rigger to design and execute high-quality animations and dynamic rigging for game development. The role involves creating character animations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing assets within Unreal Engine.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality 3D animations for characters, environments, cinematics, and game trailers
- Perform dynamic rigging for characters, props, and creatures
- Collaborate with design, modelling, and development teams for asset integration
- Implement animations in Unreal Engine
- Apply animation principles like timing, pacing, and motion dynamics
- Work with motion capture and facial rigging techniques
- Participate in storyboarding, animatics, and concept development
- Troubleshoot animation, rendering, and asset-related technical issues
- Maintain asset pipeline from concept to final delivery
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a 3D animator or equivalent role.
- Demonstrable portfolio with a strong understanding of animation techniques.
- Proficiency in 3D animation software, such as Maya, 3ds Max or Blender.
- Solid expertise in motion capture and facial rigging.
- Knowledge of Unreal engine animation, live link.
- Solid understanding of animation principles, timing and motion dynamics.
- Possess a creative mindset with a strong eye for detail and visual aesthetics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet project deadlines.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Unreal engine control rig, montages, blend spaces, physics assets, cloth physics.
- Maya Rigging for Props, Characters and Quadruped.
- Editing of Mo-cap files according to requirements.
- Excellent communication, creative problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or MEL is preferable is a plus.
