Mid level Backend developer

Nisum is seeking a talented Mid-level Backend Developer to join our team. In this role, you'll develop, enhance, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot, focusing on designing and implementing robust RESTful APIs and microservices. You'll work with various databases, ensure code quality, and contribute to an agile development environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services using Java (Java 11/17) and frameworks like Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Work with databases (SQL & NoSQL) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability using best practices and design patterns.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Implement unit testing and participate in code reviews.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments (good to have).
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product owners, and DevOps teams.
• Follow Agile methodologies and contribute to continuous integration & deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

What You Know:

• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and API Gateway.
• Proficiency in database design and SQL queries (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka (preferred), RabbitMQ is a plus.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
• Proficiency in Git and version control workflows.
• Good understanding of multi-threading and asynchronous processing.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with GraphQL.
• Familiarity with Reactive Programming (WebFlux).
• Exposure to Event-Driven Architecture.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Applications, or a related field.
