We are looking for a highly skilled MicroStrategy Developer to lead and support the migration of enterprise BI solutions from MicroStrategy to Power BI. This role involves analyzing existing MicroStrategy assets, translating business logic, and building modern dashboards in Power BI while ensuring data integrity and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
MicroStrategy Expertise:
- Maintain and enhance existing MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and schema objects during migration.
- Document current MicroStrategy architecture, metadata, and KPIs for conversion.
Migration Activities:
- Analyze and map MicroStrategy reports, metrics, and filters to Power BI equivalents.
- Convert business logic, calculations, and prompts into Power BI DAX and parameters.
- Ensure functional parity between legacy and new reports.
Data Integration & Modeling:
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to prepare and validate data sources.
- Ensure accurate data transformation and connectivity for both platforms.
Testing & Validation:
- Perform data validation and reconcile outputs between MicroStrategy and Power BI.
- Conduct UAT sessions and incorporate feedback.
- Optimize dashboards for speed and scalability in Power BI.
- Work closely with business users to gather requirements and ensure smooth adoption.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in MicroStrategy development (reports, dashboards, schema objects).
- Strong expertise in data modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
- Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration best practice.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience in BI migration projects (preferably MicroStrategy Power BI).
Nice-to-Have:
Power BI & Migration to Power BI: Migration of BI assets from MicroStrategy to Power BI. Analyze existing MicroStrategy reports, metadata, and business logic for conversion. Recreate KPIs, filters, and visualizations in Power BI ensuring functional parity.
