Position- Microsoft SQL Server DBA

Location: Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore

Hybrid (3 days a week)

Role

MS SQL Server DBA position is responsible to Architecting, Managing and Administration of MS SQL Server Instances and Databases, including production and development support of daily operations and helps to develop strategies to improve performance, availability and utilization of SQL Server Environment having database sizes in multi terabytes on Azure VM (on-prem) and Azure SQL Managed Instance

Mandatory Skills -

• Minimum 6 years of DBA experience on Production environment.
• Must worked on large environment and infrastructure having multiple SQL Server Instances
• Experience in Creating and reviewing database tables, stored procedures for Pull Request Review
• Must have experience on Database performance tuning
• Strong knowledge of SQL query optimization and query analysis, reviewing Execution Plans and able to find out performance root cause and advise on recommendations.
• Must have experince on identifying missing Indexes, handling blocking/Deadlocks and troubleshooting the performance issues.
• Experience on Table Partitioning
• Must have Database Internals knowledge like datafile, logfile , database recovery,tempdb.
• Use custom SQL/Powershell scripts or database tools to proactively identifying and resolving production and application development problems.
• Review SQL scripts prior to deployment in development environment and ensure that the database code reaches the highest standards of quality before delivery to production

Good to have Skills –

• Worked on Azure SQL PaaS (Azure SQL Managed Instance)
• Azure CLI
