Microsoft License Audit Specialist (Permanent/Contractor)

We're hiring an immediate joiner as Microsoft License Audit Specialist to own enterprise-wide licensing across M365, O365, Azure, D365, ECI, and Security & Compliance for a global environment. If you are currently working as primary audit specialist building audit‑ready ELPs, turning licensing into measurable savings across CSP/EA/MCA-E. driving CSP/MCA-E transitions from EA we would like to talk to you.

This is a licensing specialist position for Audit, not for IT Support / Sales.

What you'll do

• Prepare audit ready Effective License Position (ELP) across M365/Azure/D365/Security.

• Lead CSP/ MCA-E transitions; structure multi-year NCE terms, renewals, cancellations.

• Design & implement persona‑based licensing assignment via Entra ID group‑based; enforce Product Terms & multiplexing rules across EA, ECI, CSP, MCA-E portfolio as applicable.

• Align licensing with Azure management groups & subscription strategy; drive FinOps outcomes (Reservations/Savings Plans, Azure Hybrid Benefit, rightsizing and MACC).

• Validate complex proposals/BOMs and publish executive‑ready reports (audit $ exposure, Options to remediate, Scale Up/Down, ROI).

What you'll bring

• 6+ years of dedicated experience either as primary Microsoft licensing auditor or CSP operations lead (either with Microsoft audit/strategic partner, GIC, or large enterprise).

• Hands‑on with Partner Center (CSP/MCA-E) + at least one SAM platform: SAM Pro / Snow.

• PowerShell/Microsoft Graph for automation & Power BI/KQL for evidence reporting.

• Working knowledge of Azure landing zones, management groups, policy/RBAC, and tagging.

Certifications you will have (multiple)

• MS‑900, AZ‑900, SC‑900; AZ‑104/AZ‑305; SC‑300/SC‑400; AZ‑140; CSA + CIS‑SAM; FinOps Practitioner.
