Microsoft 365 (M365) – Messaging & Collaboration Administrator / Engineer

Location: Pan India

Role Summary

• Responsible for daytoday operations, administration, monitoring, governance, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 services—primarily Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Viva Engage, and Power Platform—including reporting,

Key Responsibilities

M365 Tenant Operations, Monitoring & Governance

• Perform tenant and service monitoring, including service incidents/advisories and Message Center communications, and disseminate relevant M365 health notices to stakeholders.

• Execute proactive platform monitoring to improve detection and restoration outcomes.

• Monitor and manage storage, capacity, usage, and license consumption, and provide periodic insights/forecasts

• Support configuration and change management for tenant/apps, including approvals, implementation, and maintaining system integrity via timely updates.

• Maintain operational documentation/runbooks and standard operating procedures for M365 services.

Exchange Online / Email Services

• Provide operational support for Exchange Online and related email services, including addressing mail routing issues and routing/queue monitoring.

• Implement and maintain email address policies and domains as requested.

• Configure and maintain DNS mail components (e.g., MX records) where in scope.

• Maintain and troubleshoot internal/external email routing, including monitoring inbound/outbound smart hosts where applicable

SharePoint Online (SPO) – Operations & Governance

• Deliver SharePoint operations, administration and management including storage trend monitoring and capacity forecasting.

• Fulfil SharePoint internal controls, including validating site owners and monitoring inactive sites, and execute ongoing site governance actions

• Provide SharePoint reporting/monitoring such as site usage reports, sharing reports, and activity analytics.

Security, Compliance & Data Protection (M365adjacent)

• Track admin/user activities using Microsoft Purview audit log where defined, and support audit requests for permissions/sharing and restore activities.

• Enable/maintain data labelling capability using AIP (as referenced in disengagement/knowledge handover activities).

• Follow organizational guidance for safe and compliant including applying sensitivity labelling and ensuring human accountability for outputs.

• Reporting, Service Management & Stakeholder Communication

• Provide daily/weekly/monthly operational reports and participate in governance cadence for performance, SLA reporting, trends and improvements (as applicable

• Support knowledge base/selfhelp tooling and documentation/runbook support processes for M365 services

Required Skills & Experience

Essential Technical Skills

• Strong handson experience with M365 services: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Viva Engage

• Strong handson experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).

• Experience with M365 administration and governance activities such as service health monitoring, storage/capacity monitoring, and change/configuration management.
