Job Role:
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances (2016 and above).
- Manage database security, user access control, and encryption mechanisms.
- Design, implement, and optimize database backup and recovery strategies using native and third-party tools.
- Monitor and tune database performance, including indexing, query optimization, and resource management.
- Configure and manage High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions (Always On, Log Shipping, Replication, Mirroring).
- Automate routine database maintenance tasks using SQL Server Agent and PowerShell.
- Perform database migration and upgrades across environments with minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot database-related incidents, working closely with application and infrastructure teams.
- Implement and maintain SQL Server security best practices and compliance standards.
- Work on capacity planning and resource optimization for SQL Server instances.
Must Have Skills:
- 5-8 years of database administrator experience.
- Ready to work in rotational shift.
- Strong experience with SQL Server installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades
- Deep understanding of execution plans, indexing, and query optimization techniques
- Hands-on experience with Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, and Replication
- Working knowledge of MSSQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS, Azure
- Coding and scripting
- Aware of ITIL process
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field of study
- Proven knowledge of SQL Servers
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
