About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics (Finance) Specialist for a freelance engagement of approximately 40 hours per week, aligned with the Australian time zone. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance modules and a solid foundation in accounting or finance principles.

You will be responsible for general system maintenance, report building, and workflow enhancements to support efficient financial operations within Dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Perform general maintenance and administration within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance.

·      Review, optimize, and maintain workflows to improve process efficiency.

·      Build and customize reports, dashboards, and financial insights as required.

·      Develop and manage ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

·      Configure and manage automated system journals and related financial processes.

·      Collaborate with finance stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into Dynamics solutions.

·      Troubleshoot issues, test updates, and ensure system integrity.

Required Skills & Experience:

·      Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (or Dynamics AX).

·      Background in Accounting or Finance – formal qualification preferred (e.g., B.Com, CPA, CA).

·      Proven experience in building workflows, reports, and ETL integrations.

·      Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, or similar reporting/data tools is an advantage.

·      Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·      Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams.

·      Availability to work during Australian business hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

·      Experience working with cross-functional teams in a finance or ERP environment.

·      Familiarity with automation and process improvement within ERP systems.
