Position in Detail:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Microbiologist – Infection Control to lead and coordinate infection prevention and control activities in hospital. This role is critical in ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and the continuous improvement of infection control practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Infection Control (IC) programs and activities.
• Provide expert guidance on infection prevention, outbreak management, and decontamination practices.
• Conduct infection control audits, surveillance, and data analysis to identify trends and risks.
• Investigate healthcare-associated infections and implement preventive measures.
• Develop and deliver infection control training programs for hospital staff.
• Create, review, and maintain infection control policies in line with JCI, NIAHO, ISO, and CDC standards.
• Prepare surveillance reports, present findings, and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of critical microbiological findings.

Requirements

• Degree/Postgraduate qualification in Microbiology or a related field.
• Experience in infection control within a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of infection prevention practices and healthcare quality standards.

Qualifications

• MD in Microbiology or MBBS
• 0-5 years experience
• Additional certification or training in Infection Control is preferred
