Job Description

MENTAL HEALTH TEAM - PSYCHOLOGIST

About Children First:

Children First is a renowned Child Mental Health Service with over 16 years of experience providing ethical, effective, and holistic solutions for children and young adults up to 25 years. Led by Dr. Amit Sen, Dr. Shelja Sen, and Dr. Kavita Arora, our multidisciplinary team of committed, innovative and skilled professionals has grown to include experts in various areas of child and young adults mental health. Since 2009, we have positively impacted the lives of over 13,000 children, and families through our inclusive, collaborative approach that focuses on nurturing and supporting all aspects of a child's mental health and development.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications: - MA in Clinical Psychology - Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience working with children and adolescents in clinical settings

Desirable Qualifications: - M.Phil. or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (with RCI registration preferred) - Preference will be given to candidates with an M.Phil qualification.

Job Requirements:

1. Role and Responsibilities - Intakes and therapy - Carrying out cognitive/psychoeducational assessments - Opportunities for training, community and outreach work - Working collaboratively with children, young people, families, and communities.

2. Desired Skills and Competencies - Languages: Should be fluent in Hindi and English. - Commitment to learning and building high-quality services. - Strong foundational knowledge in developmental psychology and evidence-based therapeutic approaches for children, adolescents, and young adults (infancy to 25 years). - Experience and knowledge of Cognitive assessment tools like WISC, WIAT, etc. - Proficiency in providing individual, group, and family therapy for a range of mental health concerns (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodevelopmental disorders, and behavioural concerns). - Cultural sensitivity and awareness, with the ability to work effectively in the context of diverse family structures, socio-economic backgrounds, and communities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients, families, and colleagues. - Time management and organisational skills to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of care. - Ability to engage in reflective practice and ongoing professional development, including receiving and providing supervision. - Collaborative mindset for working as part of a multidisciplinary team, while maintaining ethical boundaries and confidentiality.

3. This is a full-time, on-site job

Salary would be fixed based on skills, qualifications, and experience
