Overview: The MGPS technician is responsible for daily monitoring, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of MGPS distribution and alarm systems. The role will assists in MGPS takeover & management, regular audits, and supports emergency MGPS activities as required.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Monitor pressure gauges, alarms, and valve operations in real-time.
- Check terminal units and alert system status across ICU's, OT's &Wards.
- Perform leak tests and functional tests of valves and outlets.
- Assist in manifold operations and gas refilling schedules.
- Maintain logbooks for alarm events and pressure variations.
- Report anomalies immediately to the MGPS Manager.
- Support biomedical equipment requiring gas inputs.
- Any other duty assigned by the reporting manager.
Qualification & Experience
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering.
- 8-10 years of experience in hospital MGPS systems preferred.
