Job Description

Overview

Lead a team that delivers accurate, timely SAP master data setups and registrations for GCC lead global markets and operating units, enabling Innovations, Reformulations, Productivity, BCP and Transformation initiatives. Serve as the Data Team's operational owner for SAP Setups managing workload prioritisation, quality (RFT), documentation, training and escalation. Act as the primary SME and liaison to GPL and cross functional stakeholders (Commercialisation, Finance, Transformation, Customer Services, RA, Procurement, Productivity & BCP) to ensure alignment, rapid issue resolution and crisis management while driving process improvements and developing superusers.


Responsibilities

The main accountabilities of the role are to lead the SAP Setups and Registration aspects of the Data Team:

  • Responsible for the SAP Setups team who create, maintain and govern SAP data - material master and BOM for all new Innovations, Reformulations, BCP, regulatory, productivity and other projects. Also responsible for Registration needed for reg markets.
  • Adopt a data driven approach to capacity, escalate capacity issues and/or errors when necessary.
  • Create and update job aids and SOPs along with supporting process notes to ensure correct set-ups and RFT accuracy. Learning and development focus within the team when training new and existing members regarding processes, role expectations and issue resolution.
  • Provides guidance to other functions and GPLs on process and rules to set others up for success and ensure requirements are followed and expectations set. Key contributor to enterprise and transformational projects and workshops.
  • Point of contact for crisis management and issues with various functions including customer services, finance, quality, procurement with quick resolution. Ensuring team fixes issue immediately and reverting with root cause and corrective action. Liaise with senior management from these functions.
  • Governs process by ensuring critical changes are authorized and checking requests to approval or FSS (eg shelf life changes) and understanding impact of global changes on other plants. Approves changes to data rules.
  • Aids the gathering of metrics for the team including RFT, projects, eice, hot spots, bright spots, etc and more importantly strives for continuous improvement regarding same.
  • Understands impact of any change or issue on other cross funtional teams and works closely to align on one solution ensuring no gaps between the team and constant/streamlined communications.
  • Approval of mass update file for large scale changes with a detailed review and sign off before IT implementation.
  • Co-ordinate and execute standard as well as expedite/urgent/high-priority asks from the business across New Innovations, Reformulations, BCP, Productivity & Misc shipments.
  • Drive root cause investigations for issues and develop corrective actions as required. Work with MDG sustain and IT teams to ensure clear analysis.
  • Develop and maintain KPI's.
  • Support the team through the development of automated tools to support data creation and validation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely updates on queries, issues and projects and provide updates to the team at daily team connects.
  • Adhere to all PepsiCo Health & Safety requirements.
  • Adhere to all GCS Standards.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English
  • Third level qualification
  • 7+ years relevant experience preferably in a multi-national environment
  • 5+ years of team management and development
  • Excellent attention to detail and right first time approach to work
  • Leadership skills, leading team through the change management journey of MDM initiatives and enterprise programs such as PLM and PGT, ensuring clear roles, training and a positive can do attitude
  • Customer centric
  • Tech savvy with high competency level in SAP, FSS, MDG and other core systems with detailed technical knowledge of SAP material master
  • A proven ability to achieve deadline and balance priorities
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively across functions and to all levels of the business
  • Logical and analytical with a track record of creating innovative solutions
  • Proven track record of process improvements
  • Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and drive agenda
  • Advanced excel skills including macros
