We are looking for a Metals Trader to join our team in New Delhi, India.

Main Responsibilities

  • Source, structure, and execute profitable trades across Copper, Zinc, Lead, Nickel, and Cobalt in the Indian market.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Indian producers, traders, fabricators, recyclers, and end‑users.
  • Drive domestic, import, and export flows with a focus on sustainable margins and strategic value.
  • Actively monitor local supply‑demand balances, premiums, logistics, payment terms, and credit conditions.
  • Manage pricing structures using LME and MCX, including QP fixation, premiums, and optionality.
  • Own the trade lifecycle from negotiation to execution closure.

Education, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (Commerce, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related field).
  • 8+ years experience in physical metals trading or commercial roles.
  • Proven experience in one or more of the following metals: Copper, Zinc, Lead, Nickel, Cobalt.
  • Strong understanding of Indian metals market dynamics.
  • MCX trading and hedging mechanics, including contract structures and settlements.
  • Strong working knowledge of Indian trade rules and regulations, including:
  • Import/export procedures
  • GST and customs frameworks (working awareness)
  • FEMA and RBI guidelines impacting trade flows
  • Familiarity with LME practices and global physical contract structures.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
  • High numerical aptitude and comfort with P&L, exposure, and netback analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple metals and trades simultaneously.
  • Execution‑focused, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working under pressure.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ethical, compliant, and team‑oriented.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and trading/ERP systems.
