Job Summary

The Metallurgical Operator plays a crucial role in the metal refining and fabrication process, ensuring the efficient operation of furnaces and metallurgical machinery. This position requires expertise in casting iron and steel, quality control, and process optimization to maintain high production standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of metallurgical principles, safety compliance, and troubleshooting techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and Monitoring Equipment:
• Oversee the operation of furnaces and metallurgical machinery to refine metals and alloy steels.
• Manage the fabrication of metal parts and products, ensuring precision and efficiency.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, and material flow to maintain optimal processing conditions.
• Quality Control:
• Conduct inspections and tests on metal products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Identify defects and implement corrective measures to maintain product integrity.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to enhance production quality.
• Adjusting Processes:
• Regulate material flow, mixing alloys, and controlling cooling rates to achieve desired properties.
• Modify operational parameters based on metallurgical analysis and production requirements.
• Ensure consistency in metal composition and structural integrity.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
• Identify and resolve issues in production processes to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Work closely with engineers and technicians to enhance operational efficiency.
• Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to prevent workplace hazards.
