Job Description
The MES Technician will be part of the MES team and will work in rolling shifts, reporting directly to the Engineer for all assigned tasks. The technician will support MES applications and other integrated operational applications used on the production floor.
This role requires maintaining and supporting MES applications to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and to meet customer demand.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Provide hands-on support for MES applications alongside production and engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MES login, transactions, and workflows.
- Guide production teams in effectively utilizing MES processes and operational workflows.
- Monitor production data in MES for accuracy and ensure product traceability.
- Assist with MES configuration, including work instructions and resource setup.
- Support and maintain shop floor devices connected to MES, such as barcode scanners and industrial PCs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address complex MES operational issues.
- Perform system maintenance tasks, including health checks and log monitoring.
Key Skills And Experience
Must-Have:
- Diploma or Graduate with 3-4 years of experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) application support and troubleshooting
- Experience in process improvement initiatives within manufacturing
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data verification and analysis
- Experience with shop floor devices such as barcode scanners and industrial PCs
- Ability to work in rotational shifts to provide continuous operational support
- Familiarity with integrated manufacturing systems and production tools
Nice-To-Have:
- Understanding of networking concepts (IP, connectivity, system communication)
- Knowledge of incident management and ticketing systems
- Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams
