MES Engineer

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners to define requirements and objectives for IT-OT integration projects.

• Design, develop, and implement integration solutions that enable communication and data exchange between OT and IT systems.

• Develop/Integrate Software for IIoT gateways, Edge computing devices, and experienced in integration with SCADA/OPC Servers/PLCs/Historians

• Develop software for IT integration with AWS IoT, Azure IoT and solutions from other partner and vendor Industrial IoT platforms.

• Develop and maintain software applications, scripts, and interfaces for integrating OT devices, sensors, and control systems with IT platforms.

• Configure and deploy network infrastructure, topologies, protocols, and security mechanisms to support IT-OT integration initiatives.

• Conduct risk assessments and implement security measures to protect OT systems from cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attacks.

• Provide technical support, training, and documentation for IT-OT integration solutions to internal teams, Clients and stakeholders.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry standards, and best practices in IT-OT integration and industrial automation.

• Knowledge of cloud computing, edge computing, and IoT platforms for industrial applications.

Qualifications

Educational qualification:

• [15+] years of experience in OT engineering, industrial automation, and IT-OT integration.

• Proficiency in OT protocols and standards such as Modbus, OPC UA, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP.

• Strong understanding of OT/IT concepts, networking principles, and cybersecurity best practices.

• Experience with SCADA systems, PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial control systems (ICS).

• Understanding and experience in Edge Platforms and Edge Software from Cloud providers (AWS Greengrass, AWS Outposts, Azure Edge, etc.)

• Experience in Programming Languages Python / Java / NodeJS / C / C++ and Operating systems.

• Experience in configuration of Industrial Edge gateways and edge data centers.

• Experience in vendor and partner platforms (e.g.: Products from Ignition, Litmus, PTC, OSISoft etc.,)

• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

Experience :
