About the Role
We are looking for a MERN Stack Developer with strong frontend expertise to build and maintain full-stack web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js, with a primary focus on Next.js and modern user interface development.
While you will work across the entire stack, this role places significant emphasis on frontend execution: building interfaces that are fast, responsive, accessible, and visually polished, including smooth animations, page transitions, and thoughtful micro-interactions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) and Next.js.
- Build high-quality, responsive user interfaces with React.js and Next.js, including App Router, Server Components, SSR, SSG, and ISR.
- Implement animations, page transitions, and interactive UI elements using libraries such as Framer Motion or GSAP.
- Translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate, production-ready interfaces across desktop and mobile.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
- Design MongoDB schemas, write efficient queries, and implement indexing and aggregation pipelines.
- Optimize applications for performance, including Core Web Vitals, bundle size, and load times.
- Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the frontend and backend.
- Use AI-assisted development tools effectively to improve delivery speed while maintaining code quality.
Required Skills
- At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience with the MERN stack.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and React.js.
- Practical, production-level experience with Next.js.
- Experience with state management using Redux, Context API, Zustand, or similar.
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and Tailwind CSS or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with animation libraries such as Framer Motion or GSAP.
- Proficiency in Node.js and Express.js for backend development and REST API creation.
- Proficiency in MongoDB, including schema design, querying, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Working knowledge of TypeScript.
Good to Have
- Experience deploying applications on Vercel, AWS, or Azure.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of GraphQL and microservices architecture.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Understanding of web application security best practices.
- Exposure to Three.js, React Three Fiber, or WebGL.
- A strong design sense and familiarity with Figma.
