Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Merchandiser – Textile role based in Coimbatore. The Merchandiser will coordinate between design, production, and sales teams to develop and manage school-wear product lines under the Prepster brand. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning assortments, sourcing fabrics and trims, monitoring production schedules, and ensuring product quality and timely delivery. The role involves analyzing market trends, gathering customer feedback, maintaining accurate product data, and supporting pricing and promotional activities. The Merchandiser will also collaborate with vendors, manage sample development, and contribute to visual presentation and branding of merchandise.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of textiles, garment construction, and school-wear product requirements.
• Experience in merchandising, product development, or apparel production coordination.
• Ability to analyze market trends, sales data, and customer feedback to inform assortments.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with design, production, and sales teams.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple timelines.
• Proficiency with basic office software and familiarity with inventory or ERP tools is an advantage.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Management, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience in school-wear or uniform merchandising is a plus.
