They plan inventory, analyze consumer behavior, and build visually appealing, strategic displays.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management: Monitor stock levels across sales floors and warehouses. Track fast-moving items, rotate stock, and prevent overstocking or stock-outs.Space Planning & Display: Arrange merchandise according to planograms and promotional strategies. Create eye-catching, strategic displays to maximize product visibility and drive customer engagement.Sales & Data Analysis: Review historical sales data, seasonal trends, and customer feedback to forecast future product needs.Vendor & Supplier Collaboration: Negotiate pricing, track deliveries, and resolve supply issues with manufacturers and channel partners.Promotions & Pricing: Implement markdowns, clear-outs, and targeted promotions to boost the turnover of seasonal or stagnant goods.Essential SkillsAnalytical Thinking: Ability to interpret sales metrics, understand margins, and forecast demand accurately.Visual Merchandising: A strong eye for aesthetics, spatial awareness, and retail layout design.Negotiation & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate smoothly between store staff, sales reps, and suppliers.
