Merchandiser

JAY JAY MILLS is looking for Merchandiser to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey.

• A merchandiser is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the display and sales of products in retail stores or other retail spaces
• They work closely with buyers and product managers to select the right merchandise, analyze consumer behavior and market trends, and arrange products in a visually appealing manner to attract customers and drive sales
• Key responsibilities include:
• Assessing consumer demand and market trends to determine which products to stock and display
• Collaborating with buyers and product managers to select and purchase products for the store
• Developing and implementing visually appealing and effective in-store displays and product presentations
• Monitoring sales and adjusting product placement, pricing, and display strategies as needed5
• Communicating with store managers and other staff members to ensure merchandise is well-stocked and displayed properly
• Staying up-to-date on industry trends and innovations, and suggesting new merchandise and display ideas to management
• Negotiating with suppliers to secure favorable terms, such as discounts and extended payment terms
• The ideal candidate for a merchandiser role should have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a keen eye for design and a deep understanding of consumer behavior and market trends
