They bridge the gap between suppliers, buyers, and consumers to optimize inventory and present goods effectively across physical and digital platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and collaborate with buyers to prevent stockouts or overstocking.Store & Shelf Execution: Build and maintain product displays, organize shelves, restock merchandise, and implement planograms in retail stores.Sales & Price Analysis: Analyze sales trends, adjust pricing strategies, and plan promotions or markdowns to maximize profitability.Vendor & Supplier Relations: Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms.Visual Merchandising: Design attractive in-store layouts and window displays to highlight product features and elevate the brand's aesthetic.Essential QualificationsEducation: A bachelor's degree in business, retail management, fashion merchandising, or a related field.Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in using data to predict future consumer behavior, analyze sell-through rates, and forecast trends.Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional communication skills to build relationships with store managers and negotiate effectively with suppliers.Physical & Organizational Abilities: For in-field roles, physical stamina is required to stand for extended periods, lift heavy stock, and travel between store locations.
